Word Frequency in 'The Crucible'
The words Mister, Proctor and Danforth are the biggest words
found within this wordle. These are all related as they refer to the names of
men. This shows that the book “The Crucible”
is very much revolved around the idea that men are involved in either the
act, or the prosecution of witchcraft. It also shows that the se names are the names
of the main characters, and that the main characters are all men. Other words
contained within the wordle were; God and devil, these show that the
inhabitants of the town of Salem were very religious, and that they believed
that their duty as a worshipper of God, was to prosecute, trial and hang the witches
of their town.
