Macbeth' speech carried on

My love, you cannot possibly proclaim that you will eliminate the natural feminism from your body, or that you can proceed to massacre the King with your pale and bare hands. The risk of this prospect is far bigger than you; I cannot possibly expose you to jeopardy in any such way. If you are found to be a perpetrator within this case you will be sentenced to spend the darkest of days confined within a cell. No, I will do it myself, I will proceed to execute and to slaughter the man myself, and therefore you shall not bear upon your fragile shoulders the weight that I am carrying.

  1. A9 Well-written interpretation of Macbeth's thoughts at this time, though there is more than a hint that he had changed his mind about proceeding at this point.
